Armenian Church Surp Krikor Lusavoric in Turkey
The first known Armenian church in Kayseri, Turkey was known as Surp Krikor in 1191. This church, which was destroyed in the first half of the 19th century, is rebuilt in 1859.Surp Krikor Lusavoriç is the only Armenian church in Central Anatolia, it is also the spiritual center of all the Christian Armenian communities in the region. .
The church was renovated in 1996 with the help of brothers Zadig and Penyamin Toker of Kayseri. The church was last repaired in 2009.
